Apple will launch Apple Fitness+ in India on December 15 as part of its biggest international rollout since the service began five years ago. The company confirmed the expansion and said it aims to bring guided fitness and wellness content to more users worldwide. The announcement comes as demand for at-home fitness services remains strong, especially among young professionals who want flexible workout options.

Apple executives said the service blends powerful hardware with high-quality content. Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of Fitness Technologies, said the platform motivates users by showing real-time data on screen. He highlighted the combination of Apple Watch and AirPods Pro 3, which delivers instant metrics like heart rate and calories. He added that the ability to access workouts on iPhone or iPad lets users stay active wherever they go.

Apple Fitness+ offers 12 workout types. The list includes Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Treadmill, Rowing, Kickboxing and Meditation. Each session lasts between five and 45 minutes. The short sessions help people with tight schedules. The longer ones support users who want deeper training. Apple updates its library often, which keeps the service fresh and engaging.

Moreover, the service uses Apple Watch features to display personal fitness data on supported screens. Users can track progress on their Activity rings during each workout. The Burn Bar compares their effort with others who completed the same routine. These features often push users to work harder. Custom Plans enhance the Fitness+ experience. These plans build weekly schedules based on user preferences. Users can choose activities, duration, trainers and music styles. The additional Stay Consistent, Push Further and Get Started paths guide users who want preset routines.

Music continues to play a strong role in Fitness+. Apple Music powers all playlists that appear in workout sessions. The service already supports popular categories like Upbeat Anthems, Latest Hits and Latin Grooves. Now Apple adds a new K-Pop genre to attract users who enjoy energetic Korean tracks. This expansion gives Fitness+ a youthful touch, which supports its growing global audience.

Artist Spotlight sessions are also part of the library. These sessions use full playlists from top musicians. Apple features artists like Beyoncé, BTS, Coldplay, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift. More artists will appear in future updates. These sessions help users enjoy workouts driven by familiar music.

Time to Walk remains one of the most popular features in Apple Fitness+. This audio experience lets users take walks with guided storytelling from well-known personalities. Apple Fitness+ will cost INR 149 per month or INR 999 per year in India. Users can also share the subscription with up to five family members. Apple is offering a three-month free trial with the purchase of new Apple devices. The list includes Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3 and Powerbeats Pro 2. The trial encourages new customers to experience the service without pressure.

Furthermore, the expansion will add dubbing in German and Spanish from December 15. Apple will launch the service in Japan early next year with Japanese dubbing. The rollout includes countries such as Singapore, Sweden, Chile, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Vietnam. Apple said this wave marks the most ambitious Fitness+ expansion to date.

The India launch also aligns with the country’s rising interest in digital fitness. Reports show that more Indian users prefer guided workouts at home.
